♦ Monthly Charges
Not required if customers purchase a HIKARI TV compatible tuner or a TV or PC with tuner compatibility, however HIKARI TV compatible tuners or TVs or PCs with tuner compatibility that are currently on sale cannot be used with the terrestrial digital broadcast IP retransmission service (current as of October,2011).
*1 The provider pack is for customers applying for “FLET'S HIKARI” and “Provider Service” together as a pack. FLET'S HIKARI is the service provided by a contract with NTT EAST, and the Provider Service is the service provided by a contract with a provider. There are 10 providers that can be selected for use with the provider pack with NTT EAST. For details, see here.

* If the customer applies for optional services when applying for HIKARI TV, charges for the NHK On Demand "Minogashi Mihodai Pack" or "The Karaoke Premium Pack" will apply from the monthly charge after the customer starts using the service.

*2 NHK On Demand is an optional service, and separate charges apply.
Subscribers need to sign up for NHK On Demand after they start using HIKARI TV. However, they can apply for the "Minogashi Mihodai Pack" concurrently when signing up for HIKARI TV. It can be used with all plans including the "Basic Broadcast Plan."
♦ About the HIKARI TV Free Initial Expenses, Monthly Charge and Tuner Rental Charges Special Promotion
* This Special Promotion is for subscribers who apply for a new HIKARI TV (Oneuchi Plan, TV Osusume Plan, Video Zanmai Plan) service by February 29,2012.
* Monthly Charges and Tuner Rental Charges (if equipment is rented) will apply from two months after the month that a connection becomes available (the month the user starts using the service) (charges waived for up to two months including the month the user stars using the service). If no connection is available, the month the user starts using the service will be considered as two months after the month that the tuner is delivered (or the TV member registration certificate if the tuner is not rented), and Monthly Charges and Tuner Rental Charges(if using rental equipment) will apply from two months after the month the user starts using the service.
* The guide magazine service is free until the February 29,2012 edition, regardless of the application date.
* If the customer reapplies for membership, no Special Promotions will be available. At the end of the period that monthly charges are waived, the contract for HIKARI TV will continue and Monthly Charges, Tuner Rental Charges (if the tuner is rented) and Optional Service Charges will apply. Customers requesting a cancellation should enquire by phone (0120-565950).

*The Basic Channel Pack is exempt from Free Initial Expenses, Monthly Charge and Tuner Rental Charges to be waived for up to a maximum of two months Special Promotion. The service cannot be cancelled within the month the user starts using the service. Monthly Charges and Tuner Rental Charges (if equipment is rented) will apply one month after the month that a connection becomes available (the month the user starts using the service). If no connection is available, the month the user starts using the service will be considered as two months after the month that the tuner is delivered (or the TV member registration certificate if the tuner is not rented), and Monthly Charges and Tuner Rental Charges(if using rental equipment) will apply from the month after the month the user starts using the service.
